If you’re having your first child then no doubt buying a new pushchair will be high on your list of things to do. There is no other way to transport baby around safely when walking around town that in a pushchair and if you are anything like me you will know that because there are so many on the market, buying for the first time can be confusing (and a little frightening).
To make matters worse some online retailers refer to pushchairs under a number of different names such as prams, strollers, buggies and even ‘baby travel systems’. Just when did buying a lightweight pushchair get so complicated?
I personally think that the issue stems from those who seem to want an all-in-one baby travel system. They want to connect their iPhone to the inbuilt monitor and GPS; what happens though if you just want to buy a lightweight pushchair, where do you shop?
When my wife and I were looking for a pushchair, I decided to look at the lightweight buggies as they seemed to offer a huge range of advantages like being easy to maneuver around town, easy for my wife to lift into our car and should we every need to, light enough to carry down a few flights of steps.
Really the choice of what pushchair to buy comes down to what you need as a parent. Do you really need the most advanced pushchair or will a simple lightweight pushchair hit all your criteria with out suffering from being weighted down with features that you simply wont use?
Till next time, take care.
